Through recent projects I have been developing a personal collective of women, photographing them in their home environments to create intimate portraits that confront the male gaze. By building time capsules that hold relationships across the past, present, and future, I've found a personal visual language rooted in friendship, trust, and vulnerability. Themes of discomfort surrounding sexualised female nudity are explored throughout my work.
Using analogue transforms each frame into a frozen memoir of the individual and deepens my perspective and reshaping what it means to be a female photographer while questioning a male led gaze.
